This is an example of smart teaching because the teacher starts by introducing a new subject in a way that the students aren't used to learning so it gives them the chance to try something new. He also includes all the students by giving them parts in the band. Also before putting the kids in their positions, he goes through the melody they have to play with each one of them individually to make sure they understand their role. You can tell he is doing a good job at teaching because all the students seem to be interested by the end and having fun.
Bad Teaching
This is a good example of problematic teaching because the teacher jumps into the work without even introducing the work and she assigns a lot of work for one day which is too much for the students to actually be able to read and understand. Also she doesn't care about the interests of the students and chooses a book none of them have ever heard of. Although this isn't a musical example, it was funny when the girl said she wouldn't have time to do the homework because she had band, i found this funny as a student in band in high school because I always felt the same way, and this goes with any extra curricular activity and teachers should be aware that students have other stuff going on in their lives. Apart from rewarding the one girl who got an answer right she punishes the students who get answers wrong rather than trying to help them understand or helping them.
